Rosana was born in Arrecife, a municipality on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands (Spain). She lived in the Islands until she was 20 years old, when she moved to Madrid to study solfege and guitar. Since she was a child, Rosana has been linked to music, composing her first song when she was only 8 years old. In 1994, Rosana obtained her first important successes as a composer, composing for the Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno and the artist Esmeralda Grao. Her compositions began to interest many artists and at the beginning of 1996, she decided to sing her own compositions, publishing her first album "Lunas Rotas". Rosana has 9 albums published and has become one of the most recognized artists both nationally and internationally.
Since the release of her first album in 1996 until today, she has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and has won countless awards, such as the Waves to the New Artist and Best Album, the Friend as Best Female Spanish Soloist, the European Platinum Record or the IFPI: Platinum Europe Award for sales of more than one million copies in Europe for her album Lunas Rotas, becoming one of the first Spanish artists to achieve this.
