He has developed his professional career as an Associate Consultant in the British strategy consulting firm L.E.K. Consulting (based in London, Chicago and Milan 1999-2001), Senior Analyst in Telefónica's Corporate Strategy Department (Madrid 2001-2003), Analyst in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) (New York 2004), Deputy Director to the CEO in the Guascor Group (Bilbao 2005-2011) and later in Dresser-Rand (Houston & Bilbao 2011-15) first as Strategy Director of the Renewable Energy Unit, assuming the global direction of the Strategy & Corporate Development Department of the North American multinational in the energy sector from February 2013 to May 2015. In August 2015 Asier began his career in the Basque public sector. First as Director of Foreign Promotion in the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and then as Director of Strategic Projects in that institution from July 2019 until today. He speaks four languages and enjoys reading, writing and storytelling (theatre, cinema ...) in all its forms.
